My rePOR Data is Not Syncing
If you notice something unusual within your rePOR system, such as reports not appearing to be correct, transaction numbers being out of order, or orders not appearing in the Cashier module when they are finished, there may be an issue with the rePOR configuration that is causing issues with the syncing of local data.
This typically originates when there has been an inability for some terminals to communicate with the server computer, which can happen for a number of reasons. At this point, the System Configuration screen (as seen to the right) may appear. None of the options should be selected by Depot staff members, as it is likely to result in data syncing issues. Depot staff should only select Cancel to return to the log in screen. If this results in the System Configuration screen appearing again, call the ABDA. The other button options should only be used by ABDA staff when configuring rePOR.
Use the first step to determine if data is syncing properly to your server. If there are any issues found at this point, please also perform the second step to provide per-terminal information to ABDA.
1. On each terminal, log into rePOR. This will create an entry in the Activity Log. You can then log into your server, log into rePOR, and navigate to Manage > Activity Log. Click the Show Logs button. The most recent entries should display each log in on the individual terminals. If this is the case, all terminals are set up correctly and your data is syncing as expected.
If any terminal’s entries are not displaying in Activity Log, contact the ABDA for assistance.
2. On each terminal, look at the bottom bar that indicates version number and terminal name. In the middle, the Depot number and Depot name should appear. If this is not present, or is preceded by “PORTABLE MODE,” contact the ABDA immediately to rectify the issue.
Portable mode creates a second database that is not syncing data properly to your production database and will cause issues with reporting and data that may be irreversible.
