The Beddington Bottle Depot was featured on Global News to promote the Calgary Community Cares Bottle Drive!

On July 27 & 28 Calgarians turned their empty bottles and cans into hampers of food for those in need. Thirty bottle depots across the city hosted a bottle drive to support the Calgary Food Bank.

Anyone who returned their empties could donate their refunds to the food bank. The timing was perfect, as demand for food bank services has doubled in the past year.

Karim Dossa, owner of the Beddington Heights Bottle Depot, highlighted the post-Stampede period as an ideal time for the drive. “It’s community helping community,” Dossa said.
