Bea Fisher Enterprises Bottle Depot (Lloydminster) - March 2016
A Lloydminster resident and bottle depot are the most recent winners of an Alberta-wide draw. The Applaud a Depot program gives customers across Alberta an opportunity to share their positive depot experiences, with each submission providing an entry into draws every couple of months.
Warren Anderson visited the Bea Fisher Bottle Depot in Lloydminster for the first time in February, and took the time to leave comments afterwards on the Applaud a Depot website, saying “it was so easy, quick, no hassle, and friendly service.” He also noted that at first, his inexperience with the automated cash machine in the depot left him puzzled, but “I was there less than 10 seconds, and a staff member came to my assistance, and then I was on my way. Awesome!”
Warren’s Applaud was randomly drawn at the beginning of March, and earned him some gift cards for his favorite local places, and he joined the staff at the Depot in a celebratory lunch. Dr. Richard Starke, MLA for Vermilion-Lloydminster, also joined Warren and the crew at the depot to comment on the benefits of recycling beverage containers.
Well over 2,200 customers have given Applauds to depots around the province since the program launched in late 2014, and there have been 7 winning customers and depots so far, with more frequent draws now taking place. Comments left through Applaud a Depot are shared anonymously with the applicable bottle depots so that staff and management can see the feedback.
