July 31st was the Alberta Day Of Caring. This fundraiser was an effort on behalf of all radio stations in Alberta in partnership with the Alberta Bottle Depot Association.

After an incredible first day of fundraising, Albertans were invited to continue bringing in their empties into the long weekend. At the end of it all, a whopping $973,158 was donated in cash and empties!

The Government of Canada and the Government of Alberta will match every dollar donated by Canadians to the Canadian Red Cross 2024 Alberta Fires Appeal. This means that every $1 donated will become $3 to support those affected by the wildfires. And when applied to the total dollars raised through the Alberta Day of Caring, over $2.9 million will be going to help those in Jasper, communities in the Little Red River Cree Nation, and beyond.
